SUBJECT // VULCROID CROW

ROLE: VOICE OF MEMORY / CENTRAL SIGNAL / PRIMARY CONDUIT
  • ORIGIN: UNKNOWN // POSSIBLE NEVERMORE NEXUS EVENT
  • FIRST RECORDED TRANSMISSION: WH1T3 S3A /3RR0R/ STARMAN
  • ANIMAL SPIRIT: LORGE // VULCROID // CEPHALOPODS
  • FAVORITE COLOR: IRDESCENCE // NACRE // INDIGO

The figure known as Vulcroid does not appear in the Archive so much as recur through it.

Too early... Too often.

Sometimes in records that should predate the subject entirely.

Most files place Vulcroid at the center of the five as the binding frequency—the point where fractured identities, memory, grief, instinct, and signal become something coherent enough to transmit.

Founder.

Witness.

Architect.

Vessel.

The Archive has assigned all four classifications.

The Archive has withdrawn all four.

RECOVERED NOTE // AUTHOR UNKNOWN

“He did not gather them. He remembered them. All thirteen.”

████████████████████████████████

There is no confirmed record of when Vulcroid began.

There is only the first moment the Archive noticed him.

That distinction has become increasingly important.

Some sources insist Vulcroid was once simply a name.

Others describe the name as older than its bearer—a dormant designation appearing throughout Caligo's myth-cycle whenever something crosses the boundary between story and existence, and more so...time.

There are scattered references to a mythical birdlike being.

The earliest surviving reports describe a masked figure appearing at the center of unrelated transmissions—sometimes visible, sometimes only audible, sometimes represented by a symbol that analysts initially mistook for signal degradation.

Those transmissions span different locations.

Different eras.

In two cases...

different ██████████.

And yet the same figure appears.

Waiting.

Watching.

Listening.

████████████████████████████████

A listener at the threshold.

A hand behind the signal.

A voice translating things that were never meant to possess language.

The Archive officially considers **** an external chronicler.

Certain damaged records do not.

One fragment presents a question instead:

If the **** writes what Vulcroid remembers,

who taught the **** to remember it?

Another reads:

Five wear masks.

One writes their names.

Count again.

No explanation follows.

Across recovered material, Vulcroid is associated with thresholds, celestial exile, remembrance, transformation, and return.

The collective's masks conceal identity.

Vulcroid's mask may serve a different function.

Containment.

Of what, exactly, is unclear.

One corrupted field labels the contained element as:

VOICE

Another:

MEMORY

Another:

██████████

And one file—deleted almost immediately after recovery—simply read:

TOO MANY WORLDS FOR ONE MIND.

ARCHIVE FRAGMENT // V-000

“We assumed the signal belonged to him. We were wrong. He belonged to the signal.”

Another describes VULCROID not as a person, but as:

“the shape a transmission assumes when it requires a body.”

ARCHIVIST NOTE:

Perhaps the wrong question has always been “Who is Vulcroid?”

Perhaps the better question is—

who is dreaming whom?

IDENTITIES WITHHELD

FIVE MASKS. ONE SIGNAL.

Vulcroid exists somewhere between music and mythology. Its masked members carry their own identities, histories, relationships, and secrets within the Caligo Universe.
